Story
Der Konditor Monsieur Max ist verschwunden und es wird ein ebenbürtiger Nachfolger gesucht. Es ist nun an Euch das Rezept seines Kuchens zu entschlüsseln um so zu beweisen, dass ihr als Nachfolger würdig seit.
Was mit Monsieur Max geschehen ist erfährt man zwar nicht während des Spiels, dennoch hält sich das Spiel an die Story. Die Geschichte bleibt präsent und ist sauber integriert jedoch entwickelt sich diese nicht weiter.
Raumdesign
Da dieser Escape-Room in einem Restaurant neben dessen regulären Öffnungszeiten betrieben wird, greift unser Bewertungs-Konzept für die Raumgestaltung nicht. Wir haben uns entschieden, diese Bewertung hier offen zu lassen.
Die Escape-Room-Elemente wurden sauber und unauffällig in das Restaurant integriert. Zu einer authentischen Atmosphäre trägt bei, dass einem durch einzelne Elemente suggeriert wird, dass im Restaurant aktuell auch andere Kunden zu Gast sind.
Rätsel
Die Rätsel sind in sich schlüssig und haben einen sauberen Ablauf, sie sind schön thematisch integriert und auf einem lösbaren kreativen Niveau. Das Konzept der Rätsel basiert weniger auf technischen Spielereien, was den Spielspass nicht im geringsten mindert.
Weiteres
Die Preispolitik dieses Betreibers ist uns sehr positiv aufgefallen. Vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass man bei Spielende sogar noch ein Cake erhält - also so ein Richtiges, aus Schokolade, zum Essen!
Zum Escape Room kann man für Fr. 18.- pro Person eine grosszügige Apéro-Platte mit allerlei Leckereien buchen - Getränke inklusive. Absolut lohnenswert und perfekt um das Erlebte noch einmal zu diskutieren.
Wir durften dieses Spiel im Rahmen einer Spieloptimierung testen und möchten uns beim Betreiber für die Möglichkeit, unsere Ideen und Inputs in das Spiel einzubringen, bedanken.
Fazit
Der wahrscheinlich einzige Escape Room in einem echten Restaurant, bei dem ein Kuchen im Preis inbegriffen ist und der dazu auch noch Spass macht!

Story
The pastry chef Monsieur Max has disappeared and the pastry shop is now looking for an equal successor. It is up to you to decipher the recipe of his cake to prove that you are worthy of being his successor.
Though you don't find out what happened to Monsieur Max, the game sticks nicely to the story. The story remains present and is well integrated but it does not develop further.
Setdesign
As this Escape Room is operated in a restaurant outside its regular opening hours, our evaluation concept for the room design does not apply. We have decided to leave this evaluation open here.
The Escape Room elements were integrated cleanly and inconspicuously into the restaurant. The fact that individual elements suggest that other customers are currently guests in the restaurant contributes to an authentic atmosphere.
Puzzles
The puzzles are coherent and have a clean flow, they are nicely thematically integrated and on a solvable level. The concept of the puzzles is based less on technical gimmicks, but this does not diminish the fun of the game in the least.
Additional
We really liked the pricing policy of this operator, especially when you consider that you even get an (es-)cake at the end of the game - a real one, out of chocolate, to eat!
You can book a rich aperitif platter for Fr. 18.- per person, drinks included. Perfect for discussing the experience once again.
We were allowed to test this game as part of a game optimisation and would like to thank the operator for the opportunity to incorporate our ideas and inputs into the game.
Conclusion
Probably the only Escape Room in a real restaurant that is fun and where a real cake is included!
