Wasserpfad

Story

Story

The Mother Tree desperately needs the water essence and only the Udins know how to make it. It is now up to us to establish the trust of the Udinese so that they give us this essence.

During this task, an interesting story builds up that leads in an unexpected direction. This is mainly conveyed by the inhabitants of the open-world game and is fun!

Setdesign

This game is an exceptional concept that does not exist again in Switzerland. All the games that this provider has start in the same room, which is 300 square metres in size.  You are very likely to meet other players who are trying to get hold of the other element essences on one of the so-called paths in order to bring them back to the mother tree.

This is an immense project that the makers have taken on here, considering that they design and construct everything themselves. The work and the financial outlay are immense, as this open-world is equivalent to about 4 individual Escape Rooms at a time. A real monster project!

This extremely exciting concept is realised with a lot of love for detail and creativity and allows you to immerse yourself in the setting very nicely. Occasionally, during the game, we notice things that could have been solved a little more elegantly, especially visually. We are sure, however, that with the huge scale of the games, this will be optimised over time.

Puzzles

The puzzles are creative, fun and make the 90-minute experience fly by. We found this adventure to be significantly easier than the aerial trail, but we are not sure if this is simply because we had got the hang of the concept by now.

In general, we think there is some need for optimisation in the puzzles. We think that an optimally designed puzzle should be solvable without the need for assistance from the guardian of the forest. However, the operator has clearly told us that this is not in his interest, as he is part of the game and wants to interact with it. We think there are better ways to create interaction.

Additional

The "Guardian of the Forest" is a person who acts as a live actor in the game and provides support. Currently, this element is not yet fully developed, as the guardian has to switch back and forth when several games are running in parallel. In the future, however, when more games are running simultaneously, there should also be more live actors. This concept is still in its infancy and will certainly be a really cool element if implemented well.

Conclusion

A very exciting concept in a fairytale setting where we see mainly role-playing game fans and families.
