Story
Wir starten in ein Spiel, über das wir so gut wie keine Informationen haben. Nur der Titel des Spiels verrät uns, dass es um die Geschichte der Gebrüder Grimm geht und der Spielleiter erwähnt, dass für uns ein Tisch gedeckt ist, wir den Raum betreten und auf den Gastgeber warten sollen.
Je weniger man über die Geschichte weiss, desto mehr muss man im Spiel erzählen und das ist in diesem Spiel vorbildlich umgesetzt! Man erlebt eine Geschichte mit Wendungen wie aus dem Bilderbuch, die die versprochenen 90 Minuten äußerst kurzweilig werden lässt.
Raumdesign
Was Next Level Escape in diesem Spiel selbst entworfen und gebaut hat, ist der absolute Wahnsinn! Raumdesign auf höchstem Niveau mit hochwertigen Materialien zieht sich durch das ganze Spiel. Abgerundet wird das ganze mit einer tollen Atmosphäre und super Specialeffects! Auch das Hinweissystem wurde sehr gut integriert. Sehr positiv ist uns aufgefallen, dass es in diesem Spiel sehr viele Dekorationsgegenstände gibt und trotzdem immer klar ist, was Deko ist und was man braucht. Das ist sehr gut gelöst.
Rätsel
Die Rätsel sind sehr kreativ, abwechslungsreich und machen wahnsinnig viel Spass. Sie sind sehr gut in die Geschichte integriert und leicht zu lösen. Selten haben wir beim Rätseln so viel gelacht. Trotzdem haben wir hier nicht die volle Punktzahl vergeben, da ein Rätsel für uns ein sehr grosses Minus darstellte: Wir sind einfach der Meinung, dass Hindernisse, die durch reines Können gelöst werden, in einem Escape Room nichts zu suchen haben. Auch nicht als Zeitfüller. So standen wir vor einer für uns unlösbaren Aufgabe, die keinem von uns Spass machte und auch nichts zum Spiel beitrug, was zu grossem Frust führte.
Weiteres
Mit einem Fixpreis von 230 Franken gehört dieser Escape Room sicher zu den teureren in der Schweiz, aber wenn man ihn in Relation zur Spielzeit setzt, relativiert sich der Preis sofort. Denn 90 Minuten entsprechen auch eineinhalb regulären Escape Rooms. Und wenn man dann noch bedenkt, was man für ein Erlebnis geboten bekommt, braucht man gar nicht mehr zu diskutieren, denn es ist einfach jeden Rappen wert.
Trotzdem sind 230 Franken eine Stange Geld, vor allem wenn man zu zweit ist. Deshalb empfehlen wir, das Spiel mindestens zu viert zu spielen.
Auf der Homepage wird darauf hingewiesen, dass stark übergewichtige Personen für dieses Spiel nicht geeignet sind. Wer es aber schafft, durch einen Durchgang von 80x80cm zu kriechen, hat kein Problem. Diese Masse sollten unserer Meinung nach nur in den seltensten Fällen ein Problem darstellen.
Fazit
Ein Escape Room der Extraklasse! Tante Hilda hat Konkurrenz bekommen!

Story
We start into a game about which we have almost no information. Only the title of the game tells us that it is about the story of the Brothers Grimm and the game leader mentions that a table has been set for us, that we should enter the room and wait for the host.
The less you know about the story, the more you have to tell in the game and this is exemplarily implemented in this game! You experience a story with twists and turns like something out of a picture book, which makes the promised 90 minutes extremely entertaining.
Setdesign
What Next Level Escape has designed and built itself in this game is absolutely amazing! Room design at the highest level with high-quality materials runs through the entire game. The whole thing is rounded off with a great atmosphere and super special effects! The hint system is also very well integrated. We noticed very positively that there are a lot of decorative objects in this game and yet it is always clear what is decoration and what you need. That is very well handled.
Puzzles
The puzzles are very creative, varied and a lot of fun. They are very well integrated into the story and easy to solve. Rarely have we laughed so much while doing the puzzles. Nevertheless, we didn't give full marks here because one puzzle was a very big minus for us: We simply think that obstacles that are solved by pure skill have no place in an Escape Room. Not even as a time filler. So we were faced with an unsolvable task that neither of us enjoyed nor contributed anything to the game, which led to great frustration.
Additional
With a fixed price of 230 Swiss francs, this Escape Room is certainly one of the more expensive ones in Switzerland, but if you put it in relation to the playing time, the price is immediately put into perspective. After all, 90 minutes is the equivalent of one and a half regular Escape Rooms. And when you consider what you get for the experience, there's no need to discuss it any more, because it's worth every centime.
Nevertheless, 230 francs is a lot of money, especially if there are two of you. That's why we recommend that at least four people play the game.
The homepage points out that severely overweight people are not suitable for this game. However, those who manage to crawl through a passage of 80x80cm have no problem. In our opinion, this mass should only be a problem in the rarest of cases.

An Escape Room in a class of its own! Aunt Hilda has got competition!
